Ten (10) Garlic Venison

This is another venison dish that I made last night. Like I said on my previous post that the only meat we have left in our fridge is venison, so I made a dish again last night. This time, I made it different and I baked and broiled it in the oven. I don't really know what to call it, but I'll just call it "10 Garlic Venison." It's my own concoction so I can't give you exact recipe, but here is what I did.

*** Prepare 10 cloves of garlic. You don't need to peel it. Just leave it whole.

*** Chop up some spring onions or onion leaks.

*** If you want to add some onions, then do so.

*** Cut up some potatoes. I just quartered them.

*** I had some frozen Brussels sprouts, so I added it.
(I read that Brussels sprouts can help you get rid of that stubborn belly fat? I didn't know that, so I'll be eating tons of Brussels Sprouts to get rid of my post baby belly fat. That's why we planted some in our garden.)

*** Spices like dried Italian Seasoning, dried parsley, ground ginger, and turmeric. I am a huge turmeric fan now.
I love the golden yellow or bronze color that the turmeric gives to the dish. It makes everything looks good and tastes good.

 *** Salt and Pepper.

*** Swanson Flavor Booster. I am hooked with this product. It is now a must-have in my kitchen.

Feel free to add up any vegetables you love to eat. It's your own kitchen, so no one will sue you if you didn't follow my own recipe.

To cook:

--- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

--- Heat up some oil in an oven-safe pan. Brown up the meat and add the spices and S&P (salt and pepper).
--- Once brown, take it off from the pan and set aside.

--- Saute' some spring onions or onion leaks and the 10 cloves of garlic. You can also add up more garlic if you love garlic like I do. I don't bother peeling them off, I just dump them straight into the pan. I love to pop the garlic once it is done baking in the oven and it tastes sweeter and just delicious!

--- Add up some Brussels sprouts to the pan until it is a bit brown, then the potatoes and add back the meat.

--- Season a little bit more of the S&P and this time add one or two packets of Swanson Flavor Booster. It is up to you, but one would do it though.

--- Mix it all up, cover, and take it off from the fire and stick it in the oven and bake it for few minutes until the meat and the vegetables are done.

--- Once the meat has cooked and the vegetables have softened, take the lid off and turn the oven to Medium Broil and broil it for few minutes until everything has brown up. Take it out of the oven and enjoy the dish!

I topped it off with my so off sunny side up egg.
I was such in a hurry to eat, I messed up cooking my egg, but oh well it was still good! I like my egg still a bit runny. It tastes really good that way. At least for me.

A one pot dish that is absolutely delicious and easy to make. The venison is lean, tender and as organic as you can get. Wild venison it is! If you don't have venison, then you can sub it with other meat that you like. Chicken thighs too would be good. This is a dish inspired by Nigella Lawson's chicken with 40 cloves of garlic. Yummy! Enjoy!
