Crafters Help Needed: Project 8 Gulf Coast Oil Spill

I am glad a friend of mine shared this news about what you can do to help the poor animals in peril due to the oil spill. If you have not heard or visited Craft Hope website, then you should give it a time to check and see what you can do for this poor, helpless animals or sea creatures. Craft Hope is asking all crafters whether you sew, knit or crochet to please donate handmade wash rags and hand towels to use for cleaning all those nooks and crannies of the poor sea creatures like the dolphins and turtles. These wash rugs and hand towels need to be in small sizes like about 10x10 square wash rags, and 14x27 for the hand towels. Preferably made out of cotton as it is very absorbent. No big towels please!

Here's a little bit of information from Craft Hope:

"So here is what we are going to do… They need hand towels and wash rags to clean all of the nooks and crannies of the dolphins and sea turtles. They only need small hand towels and wash rags, no large towels please.

If you can sew, knit, or crochet this project is for you. We are asking that you create sets of hand towels and/or wash rags to send. Preferably in sets of 10 or 20. These do need to be handmade since we are ‘Craft Hope.’ If you are crocheting or knitting, please send whatever you can. You don’t have to send a set unless it is something you are up for."

For more information, please visit Craft Hope and find out more on how to help these sea creatures. Thank you!
