Handmade With Love

(33 weeks)

Count down to the due date on our new addition to the family is about a month and a half, which means I have a little time to get everything done and ready for the baby's arrival. Lately, I have been busy sewing things and what not (as usual) and I am excited to see all these cute girl-y clothes to put on my baby. I can't get enough of them. The nursery is almost done and can't wait to show it to you, but for now I'll show you some baby things I have been making lately. I am not sure if I have mentioned it to you (maybe I am just getting old that I don't remember? LOL), but with this second pregnancy I decided to go ahead and be full on cloth diaper fanatic. Yes, you heard me right! I don't know why I didn't do this on my first child, but now I am busy preparing tons and tons of cloth diapers. I even made a diaper cover today for the very first time and I was so excited. I can't wait to test it and see if it works well or not. If not, then I should stick to buying it instead of me sewing the diaper. For now, I am excited and just loving every pregnancy moment. Hope everyone is having a great time. Here are the photos.

My first cloth diaper cover (front).

Next time I want to make a One-size pocket diaper, but I'll probably have to buy a pattern for that. The pattern on the front is upside down, but the butt part is not. I could have cut two pieces, but I didn't want to bother with it. Next time I will.

A 3-yr old boy's bum as my model.

I bought three cheap knee-high socks at Walmart and turned them into baby legs. It's cheap and easy to make for keeping those delicate little legs warm this winter. Click for my simple tutorial. If you have any questions, just let me know!

While I was making the babylegs, he grabbed one sock and tried them on thinking it was his. All I heard in the background was "Mama, look at my socks!" So cute!

He loves making fort. It reminds him of camping in Colorado.

For him not to be left out since mama's been busy making things for the baby girl, I decided to make a patchwork denim blanket that is perfect for winter nights. I am almost done with it and hopefully he will like it. Of course I have to make a vehicle applique on it to make him even more interested in using the blanket.

Hope you enjoyed your visit on my blog and hopefully soon there will be a post for a possible coming home outfit for the baby girl that I made with love. Hopefully I will be able to gather some materials to make a curly fur blanket for the little princess as well. I'll share those things to you in the near future. Don't worry! :) Can you tell I am not busy at all?
