What's For Dinner?

I am a type of person who loves soup so much so whenever I get the chance to make some, I like to load it up with a lot of vegetables. Back home in the Philippines I am used to having soup like three times a day. I feel like my meal is not complete without any kind of soup. My favorite of all is when I get to make some bone soup. Oh my heavens! It is absolutely savory and delicious. Since we didn't have any, I made some chicken and vegetable soup the other night instead and that is what we had for dinner. It was perfect for that rainy, chilly weather. SARAP! (Delicious) I loaded it up with garlic, onions, celery, carrots, potatoes, Bok Choy, cabbage, and some plantain bananas for that sweetness in the broth and lots of spices. I always like to brown up my chicken first for more depth of flavor, then I take it out of the pan, remove some of the oil then saute' the rest of the ingredients, put some vegetable broth if you have some or water, then put the chicken back and let it cook. Recently, I found this Swanson product, which is called a "flavor boost " that comes in little sachets (my new favorite) and I mixed that in with my soup and it's an instant boost of flavor, hence the name. Savory! Savory! Savory!

    1. WE don't have a farmer's market where I live. I wish we had one, but I have to wait until we go to the city so I can buy me some beef bones or even bone marrow. Not too healthy with the bone marrow, but man it is so good! :) hehehehe... :)
