This was taken in town where I live. The storm had just begun.

Not long ago, the Philippines had experienced a strong Earthquake that destroyed many houses, buildings, old historical places, and the saddest and heartbreaking part of all, it took many lives. If you are a frequent Chetopian Family reader, you may have seen I blogged about asking for help for the people in Bohol as they badly needed help. But this time, I am asking yet another help for my family and for the rest of the people in my town.

On the 7th of November, Friday morning, a super typhoon called Yolanda struck Philippines, including my town. A very powerful typhoon known to man struck Philippines and took lives and left many Filipinos homeless. My town has been hit pretty bad and due to the trees and other electricity posts down, the National roads are impassable. Still up to this day, I am unable to get a hold of my entire family. Some friends have informed me that majority of the houses in town are gone, which left a lot of the people homeless.  A friend of mine told me my family's okay, but some damage to the house. That's alright as long as they are okay. The people are stuck in town with no power, no signal, no electricity and no houses to go back to. It is heartbreaking to say that they badly need water, food, medicine, clothing, tents for temporary homes, blankets, etc. My cousin in Cebu City, Philippines is leaving for Isabel, Leyte this Thursday and would love to be able to help the town and get as much supplies as she can for the people. Yes, my family and the rest of the people in Isabel, Leyte Philippines need your help. I hate to ask, but they need your help badly. If you would love to heartily donate, please let me know. I don't know how else to say it, but even a dollar goes a long way in the Philippines. I wish I could go home and help them, but money does not allow me. Thank you so much and I appreciate your help. God Bless you all!

  4. We were not affected by the storm but as giving thanks for sparing us from disaster we are doing our best to help support those who were affected. It's heartbreaking to see those people who lost their lives and their homes.
