For the little collector who loves their locomotive, or even adults, the Safari Mini Train Toys might just be the one for you! They are available at Safari Ltd website. Let your imagination run wild and have hours and hours of fun with toys that are available at their store.
My little man Harley received a complimentary Safari Mini Train set from Safari Ltd. I must say that the toys became a little bit of a dilemma for both kids because one didn't want to share the toys after all, but in the end everything went well and the two got along. Let's find out what these toys are all about!
Celebrating 30 Years | 1982 - 2012
It seems like only yesterday when my parents, after returning from a trip to Germany, showed me a children's card game that would be the beginning of Safari Ltd®. Its theme was endangered species. The year was 1979.
A few years later in 1986, we signed the most important license agreement in the company's history with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. This license allowed us to produce authentic, scale-model dinosaur figures with the collaboration of their paleontologists.
25 years later, children, adult collectors and educators worldwide enjoy purchasing these unique replicas.
As a fascinating side-note, I discovered that some of the original painters in the factory are still painting some of the same Carnegie dinosaurs 25 years later.
This collection has longevity thanks to you!

What Do We Think About The Toys?
These toys are truly small and like what it says, it is not suitable for 3 years and under. My little girl is only two years old, but she is closely monitored when playing with these toys. My boy got frustrated with the Mini Train Set though because he thought he could connect them together and the wheels would turn, but it is nothing like that. He couldn't connect them together and later on he was getting frustrated. Now, they are on display on the shelves, which is fine with me. They are collectibles and more like good for display.
- They don't smell funky at all like any other toys and it is not made of plastic so it has longevity.
- They are very cute, colorful and fun to look at, and it is a replica of the real train and train stations.
- Although these toys didn't quite click with my kids (especially with my boy who loves his train), but I still think that other kids out there would love these. As my mother-in-law used to say, "I think I may have made a poor selection". A poor selection of toys and I think had it been the dinosaur or the ocean realm, I think my kids would have enjoyed it.
At Safari, they have a wide collection of amazing toys that will certainly give your kids hours and hours of entertainment. Just like the Dinosaur collection they have that looks realistic, where the painters did a great job at paying attention to every detail. They also have a collection of Fantasy Figures, Ocean Realms, Human Figures, Horses, Farms and Dogs, Glow In The Dark, etc. And some of these toys also come in Jumbo and Miniature sizes.
