FTF #8: Choco Hoto Pot

Yesterday, when I turned on the television I saw Nigella Feast was on so being a fan of her I was so excited to watch her show and learn some more easy, homemade cooking. Well, it just happened that she was making these delicious choco pots and at the same time I was craving for something decadent and chocolate-y to eat since I have not had any for a long while now. The preggy in me could not help it, but to hop in the vehicle and I drove my way to the store to get some ingredients. And this is the result! My husband and my little one loved it and we all had a great supper last night. What a great treat to end a delicious supper, huh!

Hmmm... some ooey...gooey... goodness!

Choco Hoto Pot
by Nigella Lawson

Servings: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
  • Butter for ramekins
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
Place baking sheet in an oven preheated to 400°. Butter four 2/3-cup ramekins and set aside.

Using a microwave oven or double boiler, melt together the semisweet chocolate and the butter. Set aside to cool.

In a separate bowl, combine eggs, sugar and flour. Add cooled chocolate mixture, and mix until blended. Fold in white chocolate chips.

Divide mixture evenly among ramekins and place on baking sheet. Bake until tops are shiny and cracked and chocolate beneath is hot and gooey, about 20 minutes. Place each ramekin on a small plate with a teaspoon and serve, reminding children that ramekins and chocolate are hot. I hope you go give it a try!
