SAHM Style: Color Blocking They Say?

I have been following some fashion bloggers for a while now and it has been my style inspiration since then. I love fashion bloggers that are moms because I can relate to them and it gives me an idea on how and what to wear. It's kind of my way to know what is currently happening in the fashion world although I am no fashionista, but I like to apply a little bit of a fashion trend to my wardrobe as well. Lately, I have been noticing this trend called color blocking and it is some type of an outfit that is loud and proud color combination that makes for a dynamic, confident look. It says that the brighter the better! With that said, I wanted to try and see how I look like and if I can pull it off. So here is my take. What do you think guys?

Coat: Forever 21 on sale for $25? Purchased years ago so i don't remember the exact price.
Pink Sleeveless Dress: Thrifted $1
Green Skirt: Thrifted $1 (altered), it came with a green blazer as well.
Tights: Target
Shoes: Type Z via 6pm.com

It's funny because my wardrobe before was just boring. I never had pink and green because I was afraid of wearing clothes that are bright and screams loud, but I kind of like the look. I think I love the combo of pink and green now.

(3 months after baby. My progress so far.)

This is how the pink dress looks like by itself without the coat and without the skirt.I am so glad I found this pink dress while thrift shopping because at that time I had no idea pink would be a huge trend and I always wanted to have something pink and pretty in my wardrobe. After all, a mama's got to have something pink in her closet, right?

And before I end this (totally not clothes style related), let me show what we had for dinner the other night. My homemade pizza topped with Portabella mushrooms, chicken, pineapple, and lots of cheese. Yummy! I too love olives on my pizza, but we didn't have some. Since I got my bread maker, I decided to make my own pizza dough out of scratch where I mixed in some flax seed and wheat germ in the dough for more nutrition. I loved how my pizza crust turned out. So good!

Have a great almost weekend, everyone!

    1. Hi there Lynn. Thank you! I wasn't a huge fan of pink before that is why I am slowly getting into the habit of purchasing things in Pink lately. Gotta get out of my comfort zone once in awhile. It is actually not a thrift store, but it is a rummage sale at a church here in town. They usually have it like 5 times a year or so and they have the best deal in town. They used to have a dollar a bag on the second day and that's where I get a lot of things pretty cheaply. They are getting ready to have one next Friday, 2nd of March so I am excited to go. :)
