SAHM Style: Quick Drive To The Store Outfit

Mustard Yellow Infinity Scarf: I Made It
Sweater: Thrift-ed $1
Jeans: Target $20ish?
Minnetonka Moccasins: Thrift-ed 25 cents

Because I am a stay-at-home mom, my style is more on the casual side. Something that can withstand with taking care of two kids, keeping up with my very active son, running and playing around our yard. So what I wear has to be comfortable, yet looking presentable. I drove to the store this morning for a quick grocery shopping and this is what I wore. A bit of a chilly day so this thrift-ed sweater with my crocheted scarf gave me that comfy and warm feeling. Gotta look nice you know, even though you are just going to the store to pick up some few things. You never know who you are going to run into. Maybe the fashion police?!?! Anyway, about the weather, we have been experiencing some rainy days for almost a week now until tomorrow and the forecast says there will be three days of sunny and warmer weather, so it will be nice to be out of the house again. Although, my son and I had a great time playing outside and stumping in mud puddles. I like to spend some one-on-one time with my son especially now that he has a sister, so he does not feel like he is left out. It's important for the kids to feel loved and not neglected. That's why I wore my rain boots on, went outside and played like a child again with my boy. It was sure fun! How is your weather doing from you neck of the woods?

The crocheting bug bit me and since then I have been crocheting some scarves and hats for me and for my family. I made this mustard yellow infinity scarf just the other day and it will be perfect for the next cold season. I have a tad bit of knowledge when it comes to crocheting, and thank goodness YouTube is there to help you with some of the crocheting patterns and stuff. I want to make another scarf made out of some thicker yarn and in different color. What do you think of my new scarf? Let me know if you want one!

Have a great almost weekend, everyone!

  12. As always, nice getup Mommy Adin. I'm a fan! I am a casual dresser, too, and as much as I love pumps for church, lately, flats na pud akong type. I like that one you're wearing. Naay vintage nga taste. :) Maibog jud ko sa imong thrifted items diha oi. Akong maternity clothes shopping, terible kaayo. Haskang kapoya mangita ug perfect fit and looks. Mga mahal baya kaayo, samot pa nga kuripot kaayo akong budget, I won't pay for expensive stuff. Hahaha. Maayo nalang, usahay ga-cooperate ang mga baligya. ;-)

Re: When I met my husband Mommy, ka-graduate lang naku sa highschool. Sa Davao ko nag-graduate highschool and went to Manila right away kay didto unta ko mag-college. Pero isa ka semester ra ko sa Manila sa first year college, I went back to Mindanao to continue my college, and sa CDO mi ni-decide sa akong sister nga mag-settle and that's where I met the husband, when I started the second semester sa college. :)
