Vintage Dress and refashioned a bit: 25cents
Shoes: frockcandy.com $30ish
I thrifted this vintage dress last March and I love it. The fact that I got it for 25cents made it even sweeter. The dress is light and flowy, perfect for spring and summer. Although I could have used a belt to cinched my waist a little bit, but I left it that way. I just wanted to feel comfortable and feel pretty with my new vintage dress. I said refashioned because I cut the front short and left the back long, just like the new hot trend these days like a Hi-Lo dress or something. I love the collar of this dress and the flower prints as well as you can see it on the photo below. That's why I love thrift shopping so much. I can find lovely dresses in great condition without having to spend a fortune. Now go thrift shopping now!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
You're the perfect country girl! I love vintage too and the shot of you emphasizing that nice collar.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got this dress for only a quarter! That blows my mind! I wish thrift stores marked stuff down that low over here! I feel like I scored a great deal when I spend less than three dollars ;P I absolutely love what you did with the dress and thanks for linking up girl means a lot!

I know! I can't believe it either. When I first saw it on the rack, I was like so excited I had to grab it right away without even checking for wholes or something. I got lucky! Anyway, this is really not a thrift store, but it's a church building where they get a lot of donations from people and like five times a year or so they would have a rummage sale and it would be around 25cents, 50cents, or a dollar for clothes and some other things. :) Thank you so much!

ReplyDeletethanks for joining BPC!
Wow, 25 cents!!! You cannot even buy a Popsicle for that amount nowadays and you did a great job transforming it into a high low skirt. You have inspired me to do the same, I am terrified of ruining my skirt because I make so many mistakes in sewing.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone! I screwed up quite a few things and you think I would learn from it. I ruined a really nice vintage yellow buttoned down maxi skirt and what was I thinking? I was terrified cutting this vintage dress, but it turned out well. Thank you!
DeleteI super love that very last pics, Mommy Adin! Nice kaayo pagka-piktyur! :)
ReplyDeleteAsa man lagi ko manguha anang tag 25 cents nga presyo oi! Ibog mode kaayo ko. :) I would be shopping endlessly if I can see a store like that here! Lol.
Dili nalang gud ko magshopping sa mall kay maghulat nalang ko aning rummage sale ug kanus-a napod magsale. hehehe... five to 6 times a year raman gud.... mao madaghan jud akoa ma shopping.... they used to have it on Thursdays and Friday mommy sa old church building nila nya inig ka Friday sa hapon kay mao tong a dollar a sack nya kay naa naman sila buildng na new naa na storage so they don't need to get rid of everything mao wala na a dollar a sack, tag 25cents to 50cents ang mga clothing walay labot sa uban pa nga mga items.
DeleteLike the last photo, great shot! Good for you Mommy kay ka save gyud ka ug todo2x:)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress! The colour is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the way it falls without being belted at the waist. And 25c!? Who could argue with that price!
