Product Review: Enhance Your Beauty With Mineral Hygienics

About two months ago, the people of the Mineral Hygienics were so wonderful when they sent me a few beauty items, particularly some Mineral Make-Up Foundation and a Full Coverage Kabuki Brush.

I have mentioned before that I am not a fan of using foundation because I don't like the feeling of foundation on my skin and the way it looks. I would rather just go with the eye concealer, shape my brows, eyeliner, lip moisturizer or a little bit of lipstick and I am good to go. But when I had the chance to try the Mineral Hygienics product, I was very impressed. I love that it is in a loose powder form and to me it is easy to apply on my skin and I am surprised at how it doesn't leave my face dry and flaky. The Mineral Hygienics foundation is light and smooth on my skin and it stays on the whole day without having to retouch my makeup. 

Whenever I use the Mineral Hygienics foundation, I would apply a little bit of the product on my face, then I would slowly add some more if I needed to. Usually I would end up using a little bit of the powder because just like it says, a little goes a long ways. I don't like to put on a heavy foundation and I like to keep it natural looking as much as possible. So far, Mineral Hygienics is the only foundation I have in my beauty kit right now. The reason why I picked out two different tones- the Light Tan and the Medium Tan because my Filipina skin tends to be lighter during the colder months, and tanned during the warmer months. I am a happy and satisfied customer with the foundation I got, but I have a little bit of a problem with the Kabuki brush. The Kabuki brush tends to fray whenever I use it and little bits of hair get all over my face, but other than that I love the Mineral Hygienics product. And yes, I would recommend it to people who are looking for some natural cosmetics that are absolutely wonderful. It is worth the hype!

Product Review: Mia Mariu Product(s) Review

As a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom), I don't really have fancy places to go to or the need to wear make-up all the time, therefore I rarely wear make-up. Yes I clean or wash my face then put some moisturizer on, then fix my eyebrows (not blessed with beautifully arched brows) and call it done. I like my face be able to breathe and not have to put too many things on. But whenever the occasion requires I do wear make up. 

For me to have a good makeup starts with a good foundation, so when Mia Mariu allowed me to pick items from their beauty collection, I hesitated not and I picked the Mia Mariu Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundation Primer and Mia Mariu Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundation. 

I picked the two because whenever you put foundation on, you have to have the foundation primer first for a smooth application and the make-up stays on really well. Once you have a good foundation, then you can apply the rest of your make-up. When I got the package, it came in with the two products I requested and other little 2ml samples like the Restaura Cel-C Microdermabrasion Refinisher Cream, Restaura Cel-C Microdermabrasion Thermal Activator, and Proteccion Hydrating Moisturizer and a small foam for foundation application.

What I did was I tried the little 2ml samples first, and those are wonderful. I really like the Hydrating Moisturizer though because my skin is dry especially during the cold season, and I need that moisture on. After washing my face, and applying my moisturizer, then I applied the foundation primer first, next the mineral foundation. 

I was a little bit sad though because after I had the foundation on, my skin was dry and didn't really like the result. I was never really a huge fan of foundation because I had that problem of dry skin. I think for most women shopping for foundation is a daunting task. You have to find the right shade, you have to know your skin type whether you are oily or dry like mine and make sure to pick out the right one. It's like a trial and error. You sample few different products first before you get to the right one that you will stick with. 

I picked out the Mia Mariu foundation in hope that I won't have the same problem, but I did. Since this is a product review and I wanted to be fair and honest, I gave it a second try. The second time around I mixed in just a tiny bit of olive oil with the foundation and I applied it on my face. It helped a little bit and didn't look like my face was all that dry, and it didn't feel heavy or cakey. That was one of the reasons why I never really liked using foundation because I didn't like the feeling that I have make-up on and in my mind it's heavy and cakey. 

I have a problem right on my nose where if I applied foundation, you can see that it is dry and it's like exfoliating and that happens a lot during the cold season. We all have different skin types and for me I just have to find that perfect foundation that works well with my skin. I know it says it works for all skin types, but it wasn't all 100% for me. What I had to do was to put on a really good amount of moisturizer on my skin, then apply the primer and the foundation mixed in with a little drop of olive oil. 

For some though, the Mia Mariu foundation might work well without having to do what I did, so you should give it a try and see it for yourself. What I like about the foundation is it doesn't smell at all unlike other brands. I still think it is a good product, but it wasn't all 100% for me. I am really thankful that Mia Mariu trusted me to sample their products and for giving me this opportunity. Even though the foundation was not all 100% for me, it doesn't mean it won't work well for you. We just have to find the right product for us. And if you are looking for beauty products, Mia Mariu is worth checking for. They have wonderful beauty products to choose from like make-up, skin care products and anything that us girls like to shop for when it comes to beauty treatment.

I am still going to use the Mia Mariu Primer though and still going to give the foundation a try with a little mix of oil (since I only wear foundation occasionally), but next time I also have to buy me a new stippling brush. A really good stippling brush. So far I have not experienced any breakouts with these products I got, and that's a good thing.
