My Review:

- Just take a look at how awesome the design of the handle is. While I was browsing through all of the Ecommflash products, I fell in love with the Spatula. My kids enjoy making pancakes with me, and what a better kitchen tool to have in the kitchen for me and my kids to use. I love that it is not made of plastic nor metal. Plastic is just not safe to use and metal is good, but with kids helping me, it is best to use the wooden one. Because the handle of the wooden spatula doesn't heat up and safe for kids to use. 

- Here is something I have learned though. I made a mistake of leaving the spatula in the pan while I was cooking some hamburgers and when I came back, the spatula warped. Oh dear! It is a good thing I managed to save it and flattened it back. Never again will I do that. Big mistake on my part. Make sure NOT to do the same thing I did. 

- I have noticed that the Spatula has that wonderful natural aroma to it. 

- Another wonderful thing I love about the Spatula is that it is versatile. It is not just for making pancakes, but it is also good for when you are cooking hamburger, eggs, a whole lot more.

Introduction

My Review:

- This Cooking and Tasting Spoon set is my little girl and I's favorite thing to use when cooking. I get to use the bigger one and my little girl gets to use the smaller one. Well, she actually claimed it as her own spoon and no one else can use it, but my girl. Every time I am in the kitchen cooking, she comes in, grabs a chair next to me, opens up the drawer and grabs her little tiny wooden spoon and starts cooking. It has become the most used wooden spoon in the kitchen and I am glad we got it. Of course wooden spoon can break when you are not careful, so I make sure to take good care of my utensils. 

- I have pots and pans that can easily scratch up and the use of wooden spoon is a must. And these Ecommflash products are perfect to use.

Ladle


My Review:

- I love this ladle so much! Well, I love all the Ecommflash products I got. I love cooking soup, especially on a cold weather like today (freezing cold and snowy) and having this ladle is very handy. I do have a metal one, but having a wooden ladle makes more sense. Because metal is a heat conductor and the heat transfers to the handle, but with the wooden ladle it doesn't. And it is kind of fun using this wooden one. It makes me feel like back in the old days where they use a lot of wooden utensils. 

- I don't just use this for cooking soup though, but I also use it for cooking my favorite hot sikwati (ground up Cacao Beans) drink. 

Conclusion:

- All in all, we are very happy with the products that we got from Ecommflash. It will be one of those things that will get many uses in the kitchen. I don't use plastic utensils in my kitchen anymore, I got rid of them a long time ago, and having new sets of wooden utensils in my kitchen is wonderful. 

- They are easy to clean.

- I love that it doesn't have any harmful chemicals or with lacquer and glue that can be very harmful to our bodies. 

- One thing to know about wooden utensils though, is that with wood aging, it darkens up. But that's normal and nothing to worry about. It doesn't affect the taste of food and it still works great.

Instructions for use:

1. Prepare your cookie dough according to recipe

2. Wash your cookie grid thoroughly before use. Grid is top rack dishwasher safe.

3. Roll out dough onto your counter top to at least the size of the cutter

4. Add a little flour to the top of the dough to help minimize stickiness

5. Place the cutter centered over the dough & press downward all the way and shimmy the cutter slightly back and forth to deepen the cut marks, which will make removal easier.

6. Slowly lift the cutter, pushing down on any shapes that may stick with your finger then place each shape onto your greased cookie sheet for baking.

Before we could decorate these cut-out cookies with icing and sprinkles, my family couldn't wait to eat it. They didn't even give it time to cool off. And by the way, I baked these cookies using the Cool Bake pan that I got from Love Cooking Company. Love this pan! 

What Do We Think About The Product? 

- It is no secret my kids love to bake with me and I love that. They are always willing to do whatever they can to contribute like rolling out the dough and cut-out shapes because they think it is fun. And for us to have a calm and safe baking experience, I have to have things that my kids are able to use and that they are safe. With this Cookie Cuttables Easter, I feel secure that my kids are safe enough when using this product (with my supervision) and that they won't cut their fingers. 

- The material is quite sturdy and I know will last many baking sessions. 

- This is so easy to use. Just like what the instruction says, you just shimmy it a little bit to make nice cut-out shapes. I love that I can make nine (9) shapes at the same time and I don't have to make many cuts. It saves you time. 

- Easy to wash. I like to wash it right away after using to avoid the cooking dough from hardening. Top rack dishwasher safe, too. 

- Easy storage as well because all of the cookie cutters is contained in one device. It doesn't take up a lot of space either. Less clutter in the kitchen.

Somehow, my little girl thought it was disposable and I forgot to take the muffins out of the cups and without me knowing, she already had thrown it in the trash. 

- To be honest, I don't really have any other silicone baking cups or some baking items made out of silicone in the kitchen. I don't know why I am afraid of using them, but these cups are really wonderful. They don't have that funky smell at all. 

- I like the fact that I can bake some muffins or cupcakes in it and I can also store it in the fridge anytime I want to and just heat it up when ready to eat. It gives you the ability to whip up a huge batch of healthy muffins and stick them in the freezer the next time you are hungry for some. But then in my house, our muffins don't last long. These would also be perfect when I cook some healthy Mac N Cheese in a cup for my little man to take to school for lunch. I can make the Mac N Cheese in advance in these cups, then stick the rest of them in the freezer, and just pull them out when ready to eat. 

- The advantage to using the silicone cups over the paper ones is that they are reusable so you don't have to keep buying the paper cups and saves you some money. I want more of these! Thank you so much, The New York Baking Company for the chance reviewing your silicone baking cups.

Product Review: Tofu Press- Easy, Affordable Way To Squeeze Water Out Of Tofu

I was never a fan of tofu before and never even thought of trying some until my cousins introduced me to it. I never really thought tofu can taste so good because all I thought was this tasteless, bland, meat-wanna be food. I mean, can you blame me? It definitely is an acquired taste. And then when I was little and was diagnosed with dengue fever, I was rushed to a hospital in Cebu, Philippines, which serves tofu in their menu. Their tofu dishes tasted really good and I was really surprised at how tofu can taste that good when you know exactly how to prepare it. We had a meal one time where they prepared us all kinds of tofu dishes and you would not believe that they were even made out of tofu. It was very delicious! I have been trying to recreate those dishes for the past few days, but I just couldn't get the taste quite right. Thus, I always resort to a more fail-safe way of preparing tofu by marinating it like you would marinate a chicken for making adobo (a Filipino dish). 

Because I buy tofu a lot, I researched about a way where I can easily squeeze water out of the tofu without using a bunch of paper towels or piling up a bunch of heavy objects just to wring water out of it. What I like about the product?

- Fast shipping. Great customer service.

- I like how the pieces are all connected together so you don't end up loosing parts.

- Doesn't take up a lot of space in your counter or your cabinet when storing. 

- If this was my money, it is worth the buy especially when you eat tofu a lot. No one wants a soggy tofu so an easy press like this is a must in your kitchen. 

- Affordable price compares to the other tofu presses that are out in the market. I mean, I have not used other tofu press before, but this one works well so I don't need to try the other brands. 

- I was able to squeeze out 1/4 cup of water out of the tofu in just a few minutes and I would have squeezed more if I let it stay longer. 

- It came in with its own little measuring tool so you can figure out the width of your tofu.

- No more using of paper towels, or heavy pans or cans to squeeze water out. 

- What else can I say except EZ Tofu Press is an excellent product. 

- And like always, I love products that are made in the USA. 

(I don't even know what to call this dish, but I just mixed vegetables together with the tofu and added some tomato sauce. It doesn't look pretty, but it was good!)

My Review:

- I like the fact that I can bake two different cupcakes in one to make fun and festive baked treats. 

- The quality of the product is wonderful and it is not something thin or cheaply made (at least the pan part).

- Easy to use. 

- Easy clean up. 

- I don't have to use individual batter dividers to make half and half cupcakes because that can be time consuming. With the Mrs. Fields Half and Half divider it cuts down the time. 

What I Don't Like About It?

- I wish the divider part (the white plastic material) was a bit heavier so that it is flushed all the way to the bottom of the cupcake tins so the batter doesn't start flowing from under and transfer to the other side. When I load up the batter on the other half, I have to be in a hurry or else the batter starts flowing to the other side from under and mixes up with the other batter. I also have to have someone to help me push the divider to make sure it is flushed to the bottom (my little boy helps me on that part). With that said, it doesn't make a perfect half and half when you look at it from the side. It doesn't work well if you have a thin/thinner batter, but works with thick/thicker batter. 

Even with the little snag on the divider part, I still enjoy using the product when baking because it is not only for making half and half baked goodies, but you can even use it for making your other favorite muffins or cupcakes. I still use it from time to time when I fancy making half and half cupcakes and I will be using it this Christmas for baking treats for the family. My kids enjoy having some homemade baked treats and half and half puts a spin to a rather plain cupcakes. 

If this was my money, I still would buy it compare to the individual dividers because it is easier to use, even with a little issue with their product. I just need someone to help me hold down the divider to make sure the batter does not transfer to the other side from under.

My Review:

- I like the packaging of the knives. It comes with its own owner's manual so you know how to better take care of your Ceramic Knives.

- I was amazed at how light the knives are because before I have been using a heavy knife and my arms get pretty tired from all the chopping whenever I work a lot in the kitchen. These were so easy to handle and it makes prepping faster. 

- It is it really sharp? Oh yes, it is! I learned that you are more likely to cut yourself when using a dull knife, than when using a sharp one. 

- The top part of the knife's handle has these little ridges for good grip. 

- I have been needing a good paring knife for so long now and the Ceramic Knife-set I got has one. 

- Another thing I love about these knives is that it is easy to wash. It doesn't have any rust or is corroded. I have been using these knives for a little over 5 months now and I am pleased with the product. These are honestly my favorite set of knives so far. 

- My little issue with the other knife, is that sometimes when I am cutting up some of the vegetables that are a bit of a tougher to cut, I do wish to use a heavier knife because I feel like I am in control. I don't use the Ceramic for that job. These knives are good for chopping, mincing, dicing, and paring. It still does its job and it helps my food prepping much faster and easier.

- It also chips easily, which if you watch my video you can see my knife with a chip. 

- Plus, you can't use the knife for whacking a clove of garlic because it can break. It is made of Ceramic and it is a little bit of a thinner side compare to my other heavy kitchen knife.

My Review: 

I really want to enjoy this product because I like the concept and the idea of Wraptastic. I know I am not the only one who has problems dealing with plastic wrappers and how it bunches up or sticks together when you use it or gets tangled up. When I stumbled upon Wraptastic, I was interested in their product and contacted them. They agreed to work with me and sent me one complimentary Wraptastic product. Even though this product didn't really work for me, there still are a few features that I do like about Wraptastic. 

What I Like About It?

- The safety of it. Wraptastic Stainless Steel Blade is recessed to protect fingers. 

- I like how easy it is to load the rolls in. It is Spring Loaded so it easily pops the wrap roll in and out. 

- Easy to assemble. It comes with stickers so you know what wrapper rolls you have in your Wraptastic. 

- I also like how easily it is to store, just like storing your wrap rolls in your drawers. 

- It also looks neat in your drawer when stored or just leave it on the counter. 

- Wraptastic is not only good for plastic wrap use, but can also be used for wax paper, aluminum foil and more. 

Be careful when you buy any wrapper rolls because you have to make sure that it fits in the Wraptastic. I have no problem dealing with aluminum foil, but if you want to use it for that, make sure that the ends of your cardboard core fit with the size of the adapters of the Wraptastic. Now, if only they can work more on the functionality of their product, this would be a good one. 

What I didn't like about it? 

- The product doesn't work at all. 

- It has made using the original box that the wrap rolls come in with easy to use than this device. 

- They always make it look easy on their video, but the no slip rubber grip feet don't work at all! 

- It does roll out the plastic wrap nice and easy, but when I cut it, it doesn't work. 

- I may have gotten a defective one, but I searched around for other reviews and some of them doesn't work either. 

Would I buy another one to see if it works the second time around? 
No, I wouldn't.
