Another rummage sale find and this one is for my little man. I was not going to do any alteration to this suit because I thought I would just wait until my little boy gets big enough that it will fit him someday. But I changed my mind and thought it altering it so it would fit and he could wear it to the graduation last Saturday, the 16th of May. I was a little bit apprehensive, but I thought that if I messed up it won't hurt too much since I didn't pay much for the suit. And so I did and here's how it went.
What I did was using one of Harley's long sleeve shirt and used it as my template and then I took the sleeves off, the two pockets, cut the length off and started a new hem.
Sniff! Sniff! And cut the length of the suit since it was way too long, just making sure that my little man won't drown in his suit. LOL! I also took the sleeves off and cut to the right length and sewed it back.
Stitch, stitch, and more stitch and here comes the finished product! I even made him a cute little necktie which I forgot to take a photo, oh well! LOL! Anyway, here is our little man wearing his new altered suit and necktie to the graduation. Looking smart, son!
