Another Friday and another entry for today's food meme.
What I am sharing to you is my homemade cinnamon rolls that the recipe I followed from an old German cookbook called "Kuchen" that I got from my mother-in-law. My husband told me that his mom used to make these really delicious cinnamon rolls and was asking his mom about the recipe, but since she is too old to even remember it, we've been scouring her house looking for that recipe. We never found it and we thought that this recipe on this old cookbook might be the one that she was using. And I gave it a go! Well, not the best of my baking ability, but it turned out edible and still delicious. My little one sure sneaks in into the refrigerator and grabs himself a big chunk of the sweet roll. I am thinking of making another batch next time and making sure I will do a great job.
My other food share is this beef stew that I really love. You know I love my old slow cooker thing that I again got from my mother-in-law. It's this old yellow Hamilton Beach model and I just love it. It's so Vintage and it still works like new. So, being the pregnant like me, I was craving for something meaty and soupy that I went ahead and made some beef stew my own version. I put beans in it as well because I love beans.
There you go! My entry for the Food Trip Friday meme.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
