We spent our weekend going on short road trips, and first we went to the Elli's Harvest Home in Lingle, Wyoming where the pumpkin patch and the corn maze are located. Now that we have two growing kids, we wanted to make a visit to the Pumpkin patch somewhat a tradition. Our little man HF was really eager to go and was looking forward to some fun times at the farm.
We also didn't want to miss the Corn Maze because by looking at it on their website, it looked really interesting. And to be honest, I have never been to a corn maze before until then. At first I felt a little uncomfortable and claustrophobic, like the walls (or corn) are closing in on me, but I started to enjoy the wandering in the corn maze experience until we couldn't find our way out. My husband and I worked together as a team and started marking our way and we finally figured out the way. What a relief!
Before our visit to the farm was over, we ordered a little bit of food (chili was good), bought some produce, and we went home. All in all, our kids were happy and we were too. But the highlight of it all was when my son got to ride the Loader for the very first time. He was very proud and excited when he was in the loader and the kind man showed him how it works while loading up some hay. That was an awesome treat for our young man.
Those peanut pumpkins are crazy! It looks like such a fun day out :) x
ReplyDeletei want to go to a corn maze this year
ReplyDeleteWowowoweee, nagpumkin patch na agd kayo sis. Kami sa linggo pa ang plan depending on the weather but hopefully makapunta. Love love the photos, parang walang masyadong tao dyan no Mommy?
ReplyDeleteOo mommy nagpumpkin patch na nang maaga while the weather is good. Maaga kasi kami pumunta tapos first day opening nila kaya wala masyado mga tao.. the people came in during the afternoon..
DeleteI agree, going to the pumpkin patch while the weather is nice is a lot better. Over here, they usually open up pagka medyo malamig na so no choice kami.
DeleteThey open up early here mommy since they get early fall/winter here, kaya ayan maagang-maaga ang visit namin sa Pumpkin Patch. We might even go for another one, but if not we will be going on a short trip this weekend probably.
DeleteHa! So cute and lovely nkktuwa naman!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great time, I have never seen peanut pumpkins before, those are quite interesting.

ReplyDeleteI love these!!! I will try to find pumpkin patch around my area.
ReplyDeleteI like how they arranged the pumpkins for pictures. I wish we could visit a pumpkin patch one of these days.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for this month! Time to visit the pumpkin patch again... You guys, really had a great time. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun day! Those peanut pumpkins are very interesting. I've never seen or heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteAnother fun, family day in WY. Sure were a lot of interesting things at that farm for the whole family.
ReplyDeleteVisiting a pumpkin patch is a bucket list worthy while young...
ReplyDeleteLooks like the kids had tons of fun! It sure is wonderful that you do take time to bring your kids to different places. They grow up so rich in experiences that no books can teach them. I wish to do the same for my kids also. Will make it a point to bring them to new places at least once a month - more often if possible.
