When we learned that the weather is going to be an unpleasant one next week, we decided to get out of the house and explore this particular area where it has those caves. We were there before, during the fall, but we didn't really explore the area much because it was too late in the afternoon when we got there. This time, we had plenty of time to go hiking, but we didn't make it all the way to the cave. Instead, we explored above it and we found out how neat the area actually was. There was a part where you had a great view of the big river, although my pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the view was.
I wish we have the Piggyback Rider already. USPS, please hurry up with my mail already. Hiking will surely be a bit easier with one kid properly in tow.
Harley had a really good time. He was in his element and a chance for him to explore. The best way to keep him off the computer and keeping in touch with reality. This boy came home tired and snoring.
Our little explorer admiring the view. And oh! It was also the day where he decided he wants to wear all brown so he got to pick the clothes he wanted to wear.
Somewhere where the caves are.
Taking a picture of all four of us without a tripod is always a challenge. I have to find a bush or a rock to hold the camera. We have got to get a portable one something that's light. We need to fix that. I also forgot to bring the little videocam (forgot the name) that my sister-in-law gave to my husband on his birthday. It actually takes a decent video and would be perfect for all of our hiking trips.
Rock throwing is always fun.
For people with no proper kid carrier, shoulders will do just fine. Ouch! I sure wasn't up for it today.
A narrow descend.
We found an animal skull on our way back.
I may not be feeling too well, but sure didn't stop us from taking a short afternoon hike. It keeps me from being sick and even thinking about it. It was quite a windy day, too. It is nice to explore new places that isn't too far from home, even just a simple afternoon hike with the family in search for new thrills. I hope everyone's having a great time! Take care, keep safe, and stay warm (if you are experiencing the winter).
You and your family is just soo cute - I have to say I am loving that bag your daughter has too! Cute cute cute!!!! Plus, what a thrilling and good experience that was !
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to hike. Looks like all of you had fun. Love the sad expression on your son's face when you found the skull.
ReplyDeleteThe video is beautiful and hearing that wind blow helped me understand how cold it must have been. You live in such a wonderful place and am looking forward to seeing photos in those caves. What a place. Little Selby was such a good hiker and looked adorable as always. Harley has grown into a young man and truly not a baby anymore. It has to be a joy to hike with the whole family. I sure enjoyed watching your adventure. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteThat is really perfect for hiking and exploring the nature.
ReplyDeletegreat walk! how i wish there would be a nearby place like that here in our place. in order for us to enjoy nature we have to travel far :(
ReplyDeleteHow I wish we have that kind of place. It's really cool to explore and do some adventure time together with your kids! Priceless and bonding2x moments. Hihi. It looks like your children, esp your son, had a great time!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are the most adventurous! It's too slushy here to even walk on the sidewalk sigh. I like it that your backyard is right on the hill!
ReplyDeleteBased from the video you've shared sis, parang it's too windy there ano? I love the views out there.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are very outdoorsy.:) Love it!
ReplyDeleteMy family aren't into hiking to we love taking a walk around the park.:)
ReplyDeleteI see the sun shining in your photos but I also feel how cold it is. Nice clicks Adin!
ReplyDeleteI would love to do this kind of activity with my family too. You did great in the shot taken without a tripod. Perfect family moment of yours was captured.
