In order to get the crankiness out of the kids (daddy and mommy too), we took a short drive to the lake and we let the kids play until they're ready to go back home. It always works this way though when the kids have been cooped up in the house for too long due to the cold weather. They always come home calm, tired and ready for an early bedtime. The house sure was peaceful and quiet. No more whining, crying, and screaming kids. Outdoors really work! How about you moms and dads?

The thing about a kid wearing a waterproof suit on, is that it's hard to get him out of the water. No matter how cold.
Making the most of the snow left on the ground before it all melts away.
Can you spot my little man?
He asked me to take his picture from afar in the dark.
Look how well those DucksdayUSA suit reflectors work. It looks like a smiley face.

I took a picture of the moon while I went for a short jog because it was beautiful, but instead of round, it turned into a letter "J"?
So cool! Wish I can be there too! looks so nice!
ReplyDeleteThey don't seem to mind the coldness. Indeed the best way to get them to sleep soundly is to let them move and play ;). You have cute kids.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best way to burn their energy out and at the same time they are having fun. Unfortunately, I could not take my kids outside today due to the slippery pavement and everywhere you go the snow is melting due to the rain yesterday and weather is getting warmer.
ReplyDeleteWow! That lake is so cool! I haven't walked on a frozen lake yet but it's cool to experience it someday. Keep warm you guys!
ReplyDeleteIf only we have the tolerance in cold weather we'd be out and about too. LOL sadly, we love it warm so we'd rather stay indoors.
ReplyDeletethe best way to take time is truly outdoor, kids love to have fun and couldnt feel any cold or warm, as long as they enjoyed it.
ReplyDeletethis is very cool to spend time without spending money too, the best way to let the kids have fun and wear them out.
ReplyDeletePagkatugnaw tranaw-on Mommy (tama ba bisaya ko hahaha). Lovely family bonding as always. We haven't really go out and play in the snow this year or last year, it is just too cold and I don't want the kids to get sick.
ReplyDeleteI love that even on frigid weather, you guys still have fun outdoors!
ReplyDeleteLooked like such a fun time. The snowsuits and boots must have kept the children warm because they certainly looked comfortable. I laughed at Harley standing in the icy lake water and cute little Selby stamping on your Chetopian.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could have seen Harley, auntie Covina. He was running and jumping in the snow, making the most of what was left on the ground. Selby saw me writing with my foot and she was doing the same thing. LOL! I don't know what has gotten to Harley last night, but he wanted to go outside and play in the cold night so I let him. He had a blast!
