I have been thinking about making a clothespin apron for a while now and I just now got around to making it today. Finally! My very first clothes pin apron is done. Thanks to Hannah of Chicken Willow for the inspiration because I copied the design of the Peg Apron that she made, but with mine I added some ruffles to make it look more fun and girly. It's a good thing I bought some new fabrics the other day and I thought it would be perfect for this project.
*** I used two (2) fabrics for the front and back of the apron about 10" x 15", depending on what size you like. I am a little shorty so this is a small size apron. ***
Making the ruffles for the side of the apron. I didn't use the gathering effect to make the ruffles, but it is more like pleating. You fold it up as you sew along and it comes out like this one below.
That is really cute, Adin. Love those fabrics you used....and I've never seen a ruffle made like that - cool! :o)

Hi Cyndi! It is nice to hear from you. Thanks! I learned that ruffling effect from my mom. She is a seamstress and I learned a lot from just watching her. Have a great night! See you around.
ReplyDeleteWow, yours is much girlier than mine!! I love it. Thanks for the mention. Maybe I'll make one with frills as well, just so I have a choice.
ReplyDeleteI made it look a lot girlier and fun so I won't get tired easily doing the laundry and hanging clothes. LOL! Thanks for checking out. :) You are most welcome!
